The New England Patriots had a decorated security plan in place to try and prevent the major slip-up that cost wide receiver Josh Gordon this season and possibly his entire NFL career, according to ESPN.
The Patriots had assigned specific personnel to shadow Gordon at all times so that he would not give into surrounding temptations.
Sources believe that Gordon eluded his security team during the Patriot’s Nov. 18 bye weekend.
The NFL had suspended “Flash” Gordon, 27, for most of the previous four seasons because of multiple drug violations. Based on the current collective bargaining agreement discipline schedule, Gordon should be banished from the league for any positive test. He can still apply for reinstatement however that will be denied. Welcome to the CFL!
