Derrick Rose, Minnesota Timberwolves, had a night, scoring 50-points in last night’s 128-125 victory over the Utah Jazz. He led the Timberwolves in scoring and broke his own personal best, seven years after his MVP season. This emotional comeback, follows injury after injury, being let go by teams, and nearly quitting the game entirely during a low point last season.

Before the buzzer at the end of the fourth quarter, Rose was already in tears. He hadn’t had a game like this in years, and the emotions only amplified as he was mobbed by his teammates.

In a post game interview when asked what the 50-point game meant to him, Rose, wiping away tears, said, “Everything, I worked my ass off, I did this for the franchise, the fans, the organization, I’m doing everything just to win, and tonight was a hell of a night.”G
