Tennis superstar Naomi Osaka is being sued by a former coach who says he is entitled to 20% of his former clients winnings, for life.

Christophe Jean, claims he was hired by Osaka’s father, Leonard Francois in 2011 to work with Naomi and her sister Mari.

According to a report originally published by TMZ, the tennis coach who began working with Naomi Osaka when she was 13, is claiming her father signed a contract promising him 20% of her career earnings,  and now he wants Francois to make good on the promise.

Jean says Francois couldn’t pay for his services at the time, so they struck a deal in which Jean agreed to accept 20% of Naomi and Mari’s tennis prize money and endorsement deals forever.

Jean says he has a copy of the contract where Francois agrees that the term of the deal is “indefinite.” It’s included in Jean’s suit, filed in state court in Florida.

Naomi who is now 21-years-old, has blossomed into a tennis superstar, currently ranked #1 in the world.

Last year she skyrocketed to the top after beating Serena Williams at the US Open.

Serena Williams’ made a bold and stylish statement with her custom, teal Nike romper and fishnets at the Australian Open today.

In her first match, against Germany’s Tatjana Maria, the tennis legend, 37, wore a custom Nike romper in teal, with black and white stripes. But, it was her fishnets underneath her mini jumpsuit that really caught the eyes of the crowd.

Williams’ defeated Maria, and after the match referred to her outfit as her “Serena-tard” in a post-game press conference. Thousands of other complimentary tweets continued to pour in, including this one: “Her outfits never disappoint!”

While her outfit nearly took over the match, it was her return to the Aussie Open that ultimately had spectators in awe. This marked Serena’s first time back at the Australian Open since giving birth to her daughter, Alexis Olympia.

Serena previously won the 2016 Australian Open while she was in the early stages of her pregnancy.

Known for her bold fashion on the court, in May 2018, she stirred up controversy for wearing a skin-tight black catsuit to the French Open. The French Tennis Federation’s President Bernard Giudicelli later criticized her in August and promised to put forth stricter dress code rules that would ban her tight attire.

However, the Women’s Tennis Association Rules Committee and Board of Directors later approved Serena’s look. In a shortened version of their rule changes for 2019, the organization stated that “leggings and mid-thigh-length compression shorts may be worn with or without a skirt, shorts, or dress.” Just call her the catsuit queen of the tennis court!

Serena’s Mega meltdown

TMZ is reporting that tennis star Serena Williams will be fined $17,000 for her complete mental breakdown at yesterdays U.S. Open.

Williams who gave birth to daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., last September showed no sign of slowing down through each match.  During Saturday’s final Williams was penalized several times by umpire Carlos Ramos, who ruled that Williams received coaching earlier in the set from her long-time coach Patrick Mouratoglou a claim she vehemently denied.

Tears streamed down her face in frustration after U.S. Open officials approached the chair umpire and Serena argued that she was being treated unfair because she was a woman.  She continued to deny that she had received coaching. Later in the match she yelled at Ramos calling him a “thief,” leading to the automatic loss of a game.

“You stole a point from me; you’re a thief too” she yelled in frustration.

It was evident going into the third set that Williams was shaken up, fighting back tears and trembling as she sat on the sideline with a nearly impossible task at hand.  Williams lost to 20 year-old Naomi Osaka from Japan. After the match Williams coach was interviewed and admitted he was in fact attempting to coach her, but that he wasn’t sure whether or not she saw him.
