Derek Carr’s days as Raiders quarterback are finally over. After his abrupt demotion at the end of the 2022 NFL season, he informed the Raiders that he would not accept a trade.

As a result, the Raiders informed Carr on Tuesday that he has been released.

So what does that mean for the veteran QB?

He can sign with a new team immediately instead of waiting until the start of the new league year on March 15.
