Actress Anne Heche has died after her life support was turned off, her friend Nancy Davis announced Friday morning. Just a week after her fiery car crash in Los Angeles, let her with a anoxic brain injury.
The Emmy Award winner, 53, was behind the wheel of her blue Mini Cooper, on Aug. 5, when it crashed into a home on the 1700 block of South Walgrove Ave. in the neighborhood of Mar Vista, causing the residence to catch fire, according to TMZ.
Witnesses told TMZ that Heche first crashed into a garage of an apartment complex before she reversed and sped off, colliding with the nearby home shortly after.
Driving on Preston Way, Heche reportedly ran a stop sign at the Walgrove intersection and drove through some large privacy bushes before the car rested inside the house, according to KTLA.
She remained on a ventilator to determine whether any of her remaining organs are viable to be donated, per Heche’s wishes.
