Picking at our skin isn’t easy to avoid. Find yourself in the right lighting with a close-up mirror and it’s game over. Although we all know that we shouldn’t pop that zit in the middle of our cheek or at the bottom of our chin, it doesn’t always mean that we won’t. But, the more we pick the more inflammation we cause underneath the skin. Touching an open wound on your face will also transfer bacteria from your fingertips to your skin, creating the risk for your pimple to come back even worse. If you notice a pimple on your face, do your best to avoid touching it. Cleanse your face dailly and let it fade on its own. And if the pimple is more like a cyst then pay a visit to your dermatologist and let them do the dirty work to assure that it gets done right.
