Erika Jayne was married to Tom Girardi for 21 years before pulling the plug on their relationship in November 2020. She shared a statement saying “After much consideration, I have decided to end my marriage to Tom Girardi. This is not a step taken lightly or easily. I have great love and respect for Tom and for our years and the lives we built together. It is my absolute wish to proceed through this process with respect and with the privacy that both Tom and I deserve. I request others give us that privacy as well.”

The two met while Jayne was working at Chasen’s restaurant in Los Angeles. In her 2018 memoir, Pretty Mess, the Bravo star wrote “After a year of working in the restaurant, one night I decided to slip Tom my telephone number.” However, Girardi reached to her through his secretary. She wrote “I told her, ’Tell Mr. Girardi if he wants to take me out on a date, he needs to call me himself and ask me and give me enough time to prepare. You know how men are, especially if they are successful. They expect you to drop everything right away. That’s not how I work, I don’t care who you are.” And it was that strong attitude that started it all. Six months later they engaged and went on to be married for 20-plus years. 

During her time on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Erika has always defended her relationship and protected Girardi as well. But, a source recently told Us Weekly that in season 11 she is “going to tell her story” and is “not going to hold back.”
