Bachelor Nation has been on everyone’s radar lately after controversy stirred up following a Tik Tok exposing the season 25 contestant, Rachel Kirkonnell’s, racist past. It all began when she was called out by social media users for liking photos online containing confederate flags, attending an Old South antebellum-themed party in college and, previously making fun of a friend for dating a black man. However, her past was only what unpacked years of racial issues that have gone on within the franchise. After all, Matt James is the first black Bachelor lead in the show’s two decades of airing. Kirkonnell has issued multiple statements to social media apologizing for her past and sharing her efforts to take action for change. And now former Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise contestant, Taylor Nolan, is issuing an apology for her insensitive past as well.
