Emily met Sasha while in Russia for business. She went to the local gym to workout and meet people which is how her relationship with Sasha began. While the two got together, she stayed with him in his home country until final details were ironed out from a previous marriage he was in. They eventually went on to get married and got pregnant shortly after. They have also appeared on the spin off show, 90 Day Fiance: Self Quarantined.
