90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way cast member Brittany Banks and her fiancé Yazan have been surrounded by lots of drama this season. After all, Yazan has been working to get Banks to convert to Islam so they can get married. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to Yazan, Banks is still married to her ex.

When fans were first introduced to Brittany she revealed to cameras that she was still married. “I married my ex five years ago and it didn’t work out how I thought it would,” she said in a confessional.

“And right now he’s not playing nice at all. He’s giving me a really hard time,” she continued, speaking of the divorce.

So why isn’t she divorced?

According to Banks her first husband was deported shortly after they were married and because he wasn’t   around, she did not feel the need to rush toward a divorce initially. However now things have changed and the pressure is on. Banks sought legal assistance before heading to Jordan, but the lawyer told her that the divorce could take up to a year. Halfway through the season, Banks left Jordan to get the divorce settled but things have still been moving slowly.
