The Chiefs were already loaded with talent, especially on offense, but the addition of Bell only increases their odds of repeating as Super Bowl champs. Bell is coming off an unimpressive 17-game stretch with the Jets, averaging just 3.3 yards per carry, but the versatile back was playing behind a poor line and for a head coach that never properly utilized him.
That should change in Kansas City, where Bell now has an excellent chance of winning it all with Mahomes and Andy Reid leading the way.
The Chiefs quarterback went on to welcome Bell, though he’ll have to wait another week to play with the Chiefs due to COVID-19 protocols.
Bell will face his former team soon after he debuts with his new one. The Chiefs are set to host the Jets in Week 8.
