Adam Gase turned the Jets into the worst offense in the NFL in 2019, and he’s shown no signs of slowing down in 2020.
The Jets organization touted Gase as an offensive genius who understands how to get the most out of his players upon and since his hiring, but his time as a head coach has shown anything but that. In fact, a number of prominent players have actually performed far better after Gase stopped being their coach. That was a theme last year, his first away from the Dolphins, and remains so now.
Multiple former Gase players are playing well without him this season, and Le’Veon Bell will likely be the next after New York released the running back Tuesday night. Bell is poised to join an exclusive cast of players who are clearly happier without Gase in their careers.
