DeSean Jackson aggravated his strained abdomen, an injury that had kept him out since Week 2, in his return week 9 against the Bears, landing him on the injured reserve for core muscle surgery.
The move functionally ends Jackson’s age-32 season, as the earliest he could return is the Divisional Round. His speed should still play in 2020, where he’s under contract for $8.2 million in Philadelphia. He should be back at that price for a team that’s been missing a viable deep threat for several years running.
