Former Detroit Lion, Charles Rogers Passes Away At The Age of 38

Former Detroit Lions receiver and Michigan State University star, Charles Rogers passed away over night at the age of 38.

On Monday the Detroit Lions, who drafted Rogers second over-all in the 2003 NFL Draft released this statement, “We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Charles Rogers, From Saginaw, to East Lansing, to Detroit, Charles’ connection to the state of Michigan and its football community was felt by many during the course of his life. We extend our heartfelt sympathies and condolences to his friends and family during this difficult time.”

Although Rogers’ cause of death was not immediately know, one of Rogers former Saginaw High School football coaches spoke about his death.
