The Monday morning firing of Washington Redskins coach Jay Gruden is once again hitting the reset button for the organization under owner Dan Snyder. Upon Gruden’s firing a pair of videos emerged containing images of someone who appears to be, Gruden.

In one video a man who appears to be Gruden is smoking while someone chants his name. When he realizes that he’s being recorded, Gruden appears exasperated. In a second video, he’s sitting on the ground talking to a woman.
Although some speculated that Gruden is smoking marijuana in the first video, it’s completely unclear. Some in the league’s circle have even alleged that the team leaked the videos as a precursor to a potential termination of Gruden with cause, which would allow the team to fire him without paying the balance of his salary. The team for their part, according to NBCSportsWashington.com, had no comment on the videos.

Under the direction of interim offensive line coach Bill Callahan, the Redskins (0-5) will travel to Miami where they will battle it out with the equally winless Dolphins (0-4).
The Redskins were in a much different position last season starting 3-2, who heading into week 11 last season were an impressive 6-3 under veteran quarterback Alex Smith. As fans know Smith suffered a gruesome injury during week 11, that has sidelined him for 10 months.
With Smith’s future with the franchise unclear, the Redskins are relying on Colt McCoy to turn their season around.
