Rosen believes he’s the answer for Miami

By

Josh Rosen didn’t know his time with the Arizona Cardinals was finished until he got a call just minutes before the draft and was informed that he had been traded to the Miami Dolphins. Now he is treating 2019 as a one-year tryout to become the Dolphins franchise quarterback.

“Very rarely do you get a second chance to make a first impression,” Rosen said. “It felt like I got drafted twice.”

Rosen made a great first impression Miami. Like always, he answered all the questions regarding Arizona’s new direction with Kyler Murray and defended himself of criticism.

“I think I’m a really good teammate. What I’ve tried to do is not say or do anything extra, just kind of be me and keep my head down, and eventually the story will straighten out,” Rosen said. “I think it has for the most part. Time and consistency are the best medicine to cure the narrative.”

Josh Rosen will compete with veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick for the starting quarterback job.

The Dolphins haven’t had a Pro Bowl quarterback since Dan Marino 23 years ago. To say that they have a need at QB is an understatement. Rosen would be the 20th quarterback to start for Miami since 1999. However his first step is beating out Ryan Fitzpatrick. Then he will get his chance to prove the Arizona Cardinals wrong.
